Mitchelle Carrasquilla received her Bachelor’s degree in Ethnic Studies from Brown University. Mitchelle has worked on several nonprofit initiatives including, serving as a paralegal for Americans for Immigrant Justice and working with at-risk youth as the Miami-Dade County Program Coordinator for Women of Tomorrow. Mitchelle also has experience working on arts for social justice initiatives through the Quito Eterno Foundation in Quito, Ecuador and the Rites and Reasons Theatre at Brown University. In her spare time, she dedicates herself to her writing and has attended several writers workshops including, VONA Voice of our Nation, and Las Dos Brujas. Most recently, Mitchelle joined the Humanities Edge Team and is extremely excited to bring her experience and dedication to best service the Humanities Edge Cohort!
