Participate in an immersive four-day experience in Washington, D.C. "Arts and Humanities: For the People," sponsored by The Humanities Edge and FIU in Washington, D.C. and in collaboration with FIU's Public Humanities Lab.

This Fly-In is open to undergraduate humanities majors. Humanities majors include art + art history, English, history, philosophy, digital humanities, religious studies, and others. Please note you must be currently enrolled at FIU for Fall 2025 with a minimum of 6 credits and a GPA above 3.0.

This experience will provide exclusive opportunities for students to meet staff from federal agencies supporting arts and humanities, to learn about DC-based internships and careers from FIU alumni and others working in the federal government, and to build advocacy and communication skills. Also, you will engage with FIU in DC staff and interns, learn about FIU's mission in DC, and hear from students in the semester-long Hamilton Scholars program. Students with the intention to seek internship opportunities in Washington, D.C. are strongly urged to apply.
